Gesund's founder, Scott Coller, PharmD, brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and product-building experience that shaped everything about how we approach health data interpretation.
Spent 10+ years in hospital pharmacy leadership, including roles at community hospitals and as clinical faculty at an academic medical center. Managed clinical teams, built medication therapy management programs, and collaborated with physicians on complex patient cases. Experienced firsthand how fragmented data creates gaps in care.
Transitioned to product development at a major insurance analytics firm, where Scott spent 8+ years building claims-based underwriting solutions and health data interpretation products. Led teams that scaled products significantly across the life insurance industry.
Built products that automated prescription data interpretation, medical claims analysis, and risk assessment—but recognized they were still fundamentally extraction tools, not intelligence layers.
After building products that touched millions of lives, Scott saw the same problem everywhere: tools could extract data, but they couldn't interpret it with clinical reasoning.
Rules engines broke when edge cases appeared. Heuristics couldn't handle complexity. AI models lacked medical context. What healthcare and insurance needed wasn't another extraction tool—it was a clinical reasoning engine.
Started building the foundation for Gesund while working as a clinical data consultant, using the opportunity to stay sharp on emerging AI technologies and prove out the core concepts.
The hands-on work with AI systems led to an appointment as Adjunct Instructor of Applied AI at Waukesha County Technical College, teaching students how to build AI solutions that solve real-world problems with precision.
Officially launched Gesund Health Data as a Delaware C-Corp in 2025, transforming the clinical intelligence platform from concept to production-ready system.
Now focused full-time on building Gesund's MultiExpert™ AI platform—a clinical reasoning engine that interprets health data the way medical specialists would, synthesizing context across all sources to deliver true understanding.
Continues teaching Applied AI part-time, bringing real-world AI product development experience into the classroom.
